What is Required for Membership?
Membership is simple― If you have been issued a license by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) you will need to contact us so that we may sponsor your license (transfers are completed via IDFPR's online portal). You will also need to return the required internal documentation and the Annual Maintenance Fee to us in order to join Referral Alliance. The current Maintenance Fee for 2024 is $125.00. In addition to the Annual Maintenance Fee, you will also need to submit payment of $35.00 (via credit card on IDFPR's online portal at time of transfer). The IDFPR charges this fee whenever a licensee changes sponsoring brokers. It's imperative you print the receipt as proof of the online transaction with IDFPR and enclose a copy when you return the internal documents and Annual Maintenance Fee to our office.
If you have passed the State Examination and have not yet been sponsored by a brokerage firm, you will need all of your documentation from PSI proving you passed the State Examination and your original transcript, in addition to the documents and Annual Maintenance Fee Referral Alliance requires for membership. You will need to submit your application for license thru IDFPR's online portal: www.idfpr.gov. You'll return the required internal documentation provided by Referral Alliance, the Annual Maintenance Fee of $125.00 (payable to Referral Alliance, Inc.) and the receipt from IDFPR's portal showing you've applied online for licensure. You'll also need to enclose a copy of your original transcript and proof of passing the State Exam when you return your membership package to our office.
Please Note: An initial fee of $100.00 is required for a Leasing Agent license, $175.00 is required for a Broker license ($150.00 for a Managing Broker) and will be paid with a credit card on IDFPR's "online" portal at the time of application.
*Inoperative License? (* now referred to as "Inactive")
Licensees who are currently "inactive" or "expired" (unsponsored or failed to renew) but have not yet reached the 5 (five) year maximum time limit may also apply for membership to reinstate their licenses to "active" status. Additional State Fees apply. Contact IDFPR for requirements at: www.idfpr.gov.
